FOX 17 Nashville: Gary Sinise to debut new film in Nashville, big donation for vets to watch free
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--The red carpet world premiere of Brothers After War, a new film by acclaimed actor, producer, and musician Gary Sinise is taking place in Nashville Tuesday night.
Sinise is also the founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, a nonprofit veterans organization offering programs, services, and events for veterans. On Tuesday, the founder's new film will premiere at Regal Green Hills with the full release at Regal Cinemas across the country starting on Friday.
The film features Director Jake Rademacher as he reconnects with his two brothers who served in the Iraq war and process their experiences in combat. As described by the filmmakers, "the story leads us on an insightful, humorous, and moving journey as these warfighters come to terms with the loss of their fellow soldiers, the invisible wounds they wrestle with, and their journey to ultimately find hope and meaning in their lives."
In addition to the film's debut, the Gary Sinise Foundation announced a $150,000 donation to Vet Tix, which will be used for veterans, first responders, and their families to see the documentary film for free.
