Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: This week in theaters - ‘Brothers After War’
The Academy Awards are this weekend — Sunday at 6 p.m., airing in Milwaukee on WISN-TV (Channel 12) and, for the first time, streaming live (on Hulu) — and Milwaukee’s finally getting one of the year’s most lauded movies on the big screen.
Along with the usual moving-past-the-Oscars mix of action, adventure and message movies.
Here’s what’s new in Milwaukee-area theaters starting Friday, as well as some of the new movies available on streaming and on demand this week.
And if you're still playing catchup on your Oscars pool, you can find a guide to where you can see all of this year's nominated movies, in theaters or via streaming, at bit.ly/40rCYXe. (See below for info on the best-picture-nominee marathons in theaters this weekend.)
‘Brothers After War’
Short version: Filmmaker Jake Rademacher follows up his 2009 documentary “Brothers at War,” which chronicled his two brothers’ experiences serving in Iraq, with this new documentary, checking back with the soldiers he embedded with the first time around to see how they are making the difficult transition to life after wartime.
Where you can see it: Marcus Theatres’ Ridge Cinema.
